It’s great to have childhood dreams and aspirations.  This is as long as they’re not the products of indoctrination by way of parents or the conventional education system.  Much of the time, we come to find ourselves trying to carry out others’ hopes for us and therefore leading dull and unfulfilling lives.  What (or who) did you want to become when you were young?  Did you stay on the path?  Are you happy to have gone astray?
